ROSMAN, SOUZA LEÃO, FRANCO E ADVOGADOS is a traditional law firm founded in 1964 by José Luiz Bulhões Pedreira (1925-2006) and Antonio Fernando de Bulhões Carvalho (1925-2009) under the name of “Bulhões Pedreira, Bulhões Carvalho e Advogados Associados”.
Since its founding, it has practiced actively in multiple areas of the law, with a particular focus on corporate and tax law, as well as providing legal advice to national and international companies, other law firms and government agencies, predominantly in the area of Corporate and Income Tax law. Other significant areas of practice are commercial, administrative, financial and banking law.

In 2010, attorney Paulo Penalva Santos and his team of the law firm PENALVA SANTOS E ADVOGADOS ASSOCIADOS, which practice in the corporate and litigation areas, with distinguished specialization in bankruptcy law and judicial recoveries, associated with ROSMAN, SOUZA LEÃO, FRANCO E ADVOGADOS and expanded their joint practice as associated firms in common office space, operating as a single productive organization in providing legal services under the shared name of “ROSMAN, PENALVA, SOUZA LEÃO, FRANCO E ADVOGADOS”.
In 2013, attorney Luiz Henrique Ferreira Leite, with practice in civil litigation with emphasis on insurance, joined the firm as a partner, strengthening the litigation area of the firm with the team of attorneys hired after he joined the firm.
In 2015, attorney Coaraci Nogueira do Vale, operating as attorney and business consultant with emphasis in the area of the establishment of foreign companies in Brazil, strengthening the practice of the firm with clients from abroad, associated with partners of ROSMAN, SOUZA LEÃO, FRANCO E ADVOGADOS and PENALVA SANTOS E ADVOGADOS ASSOCIADOS, forming a new firm in the capital city of the State of São Paulo under the name of ROSMAN, PENALVA, FRANCO, VALE ADVOGADOS, of which he is the managing partner.
In 2017, attorney Caetano de Vasconcellos Neto, specializing in commercial law, corporate and financial markets law including banking law, regulatory/administrative law of the National Financial System and sanctioning of administrative processes in this segment, joined the firm, strengthening the practice of the firm in the banking area.
